Our Ceiling Tile Recycling Program
At Burns, we’ve developed a program in partnership with Armstrong World Industries to simplify the disposal and recycling of ceiling tiles. You can make arrangements directly with Armstrong by calling the Armstrong Recycling Center at 1-877-276-7876 or locate a consolidator in your region. Additionally, you can download an official Armstrong guide to the program here.
To make recycling of your ceiling materials as easy as possible, we recommend:
- Develop a construction waste management plan. Include provisions for ceiling recycling in your project specifications. You should start by downloading a guide specification at armstrong.com/recycling.
- Register your ceiling-tile recycling project with the Armstrong Recycling Center by calling them at 1-877-276-7876. When prompted, press option 1, then 8.
- Review the building and material requirements with the Recycling Center. The building construction date, an asbestos survey and a signed Recycling Agreement are required to approve your recycling project. Be sure your project is approved before you begin removal of the ceiling for recycling.
