Recycled Products
A natural result of our recycling efforts is a large supply of recovered and ready-to-use material products. Listed below are some of the many products we have available for sale, including our patented cover product, Barrier.
Non-Ferrous metals include all metals or metal alloys which do not contain iron. Common non-ferrous metals include copper, brass, aluminum, zinc and tin. At Richard S. Burns, we offer recycled non-ferrous metals, sold in bundled form. Call us for pricing and availability.
Wood
Richard S. Burns offers recycled wood, in chip form, to its customers. Wood chips are processed from recovered materials and are chipped to 2" in diameter or less. Decovered wood chips have a variety of applications; call us for pricing and availability.
Iron/Ferrous Metals
Sorted, recovered ferrous (iron-based) metals are offered in a variety of quantities for resale. Ferrous metals can be sorted and resold by categories including, steel, light iron, black cast, etc. Questions regarding availability can be answered by calling us.
Brick
Using recovered brick in landscaping or construction projects can give them that instant 'antique' look. Richard S. Burns has a variety of recovered bricks, in many different colors and sizes. Give us a call about your project needs and we can custom design an order for you.
Cobbles
Historic areas such as Philadelphia provide us with ample opportunities to recover some beautiful historic building materials. Recovered cobblestones, used in and around the Philadelphia region for centuries are great to use in both commercial and residential landscaping projects. AgreSource Compost & Mulch Products
Richard S. Burns proudly sells Agresource mulch products. Comprised of a mixture of bark mulches and Agresource's Compost product, Agresource mulch has many advantages of over traditional wood mulches. Costs are lower than all-wood mulches and, unlike wood mulches, Agresource products feature a lower carbon to nitrogen ratio and can be left on plantings year round. (Traditional wood mulches have to potential to rob the soil of nitrogen and should be removed at the end of the growing season.) For more information, click here.
2A Modified Crushed Concrete
We offer recycled stone products, for use in a variety of circumstances. Stone is crushed and screened to 2" diameter or less. our stone products are useful for various drainage, road-building and landscaping applications. call richard s. burns for pricing and availability.
Cardboard
Our recycled cardboard products are processed and sold in bales. Recovered cardboard has a variety of recycling applications, including the manufacture of paper and wood products. We make our cardboard available in a variety of quantities; call us for availability and pricing.
Barrier
Barrier is our patented landfill cover product. Barrier is made from construction and demolition materials that can't be used in their original form but, when ground and mixed, are perfect as a temporary landfill cover product. Barrier is approved for use in several states, including, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, as an Alternative Daily Cover. For more information, click here.
Plastics
Burns recycles a variety of plastics, as well as tile, porcelain and glass. Recovered plastics are sorted and baled and available for a variety of applications.
Gypsum/Wallboard
Burns recycles wallboard and gypsum products. Wallboard, greenboard, plaster, etc., can all be recovered and pelletized into a form useful for a variety of manufacturing applications.
